Pregnancy is a happy stage for almost all women. It is the stage where a couple or a family's bond gets stronger as they are in the race on who's going to take care of the baby first when the baby's born. It sounds like a joyful event however pregnancy stage is also a dilemma for most mommies when we talk about the right clothes to wear as being pregnant means an increase of weight that usually starts in the first trimesters of pregnancy. For this, buying clothes for your pregnancy stage is not a problem when you always get yourself updated on pregnancy fashion.
Maternity dresses are sometimes expensive, not to mention that those loose dresses are much used in the last months of the second trimester up to the end of the last trimester of a woman's pregnancy. When this happens, women always find their way to be thriftier and spend for the most affordable clothes that would fit them even when they are pregnant and will still fit them after their pregnancy. Fashion when pregnant is not a great issue for moms who stay at home but a great problem for those busy moms who still work to earn an income and save for the needs of the baby.
Since pregnant women usually doesn't have time to shop and can't get away with wearing pants, experts say that using a rubber band, looping it through the buttonhole and wrapping it around the button is a safe trick that will at least add two inches on every fit pants under a top. But this trick will not help as your tummy get bigger because of the baby so its better to invest in buying skirts and pants that are stretchable with its elastic waistband. Drawstring skirts, pants and leggings are also a trend for pregnant women as these can be worn even after pregnancy. If you can't find comfort on those and still prefer denim pants, be sure to choose low-rise pants as its waist fits normally under your belly and does not affect the space your tummy needs.
For tops it doesn't mean that anything comfortable is excellent as there are tops for pregnant women that aren't fashionable enough especially for work. Loose but trendy tops look good on pregnant women. There are chic tops available in malls that could easily hide your big tummy and still looks sexy when worn. Hanging tops is a no-no; as you wouldn't want your growing belly to peep, do you? For formal occasions, a little black dress is advisable because black clothes can make you look slim; it goes with everything and never goes out of fashion. You can always choose and wear some of your accessories such as jewelries, shoes, and bags that will help any black dress look fabulous.
Pregnancy only takes nine months so it's advisable that you won't spend so much with maternity clothes unless those are stylish enough to wear after giving birth. For this, better search for affordable ones that you can buy online and hit some of your relatives, friends, or co-workers who already blazed the baby trail before you for some of their maternity hand me downs. |
