Written by babymaking.co.uk

Along with pregnancy are different body changes that the expecting mother may experience. These constant changes results to discomforts that are usually felt during the first trimester and during the last three months of pregnancy. There are several kinds of uneasiness that may occur but not all may affect a certain pregnant woman. Remember, each and every pregnancy is unique. So don't be envious if your fellow mom-to-be does not feel nauseous nor felt fatigue. You have certainly different lifestyles that causes alter effects in your body during pregnancy.

In the first three months of being pregnant, it is common for most women to experience the so-called morning sickness. Despite of the name, morning sickness does not only happen during day time. It can strike any time of the day, when you don't eat enough or when your stomach is empty. Symptoms include dizziness, nausea or vomiting. This is the body's way in adjusting to the increased production of hormones. You may prevent it by eating biscuits, crackers or toast before jumping out of bed. Another way is to eat lean meat or cheese before sleeping so you will still feel full when you wake up. Protein enriched foods takes longer time to digest. Eating for two does not help in avoiding morning sickness. Having smaller snacks after two to three hours is one of the best remedies for this pregnancy discomfort. Don't forget to sip on some juice and water all through out the day.

After a few more months, more development in your unborn child happens, and definitely more adjustment for you. Your breast starts to enlarge and you would feel the firmness and tenderness. It is already preparing to produce milk that is essential for your baby once you have given birth. You might want to buy a larger bra size that would provide your breasts the firm support it needs. When taking a bath, don't use soaps in cleaning your breast area. Use only warm water to avoid dryness. Some pregnant women starts to leak a thick fluid called colostrums as early as 5 months. Nursing pads are usually available in any pharmacy. This would absorb the leaking fluid from your breasts. But make sure that you will change pads every 2-3 hours or when you feel it is already full to prevent irritation in your nipples and whole breast.

At the latter stage of pregnancy, your legs, ankles, and feet may start to swell, especially during humid weather. Avoid over-processed foods, foods rich in sodium and anything salty. Drink a lot of water to avoid fluid retention that causes the swelling. At this stage, the baby is already big and probably gained more weight, so it is normal to experience fatigue and body pains. Try to exercise daily to boost your energy level such as walking. But make sure not to do strenuous activities. As much as possible, take plenty of rests or naps. To relieve body pains in pregnancy, don't take medications. Simply use warm compress in the affected or indulge in a warm bath.
