Have a bubble bath. Soaking in warm water not only helps you distress but to relieve the body pains that comes along in your pregnancy as well. Pour some bath oils such as lavender to make your relaxing time more soothing. Anyway, aromatherapy oils are not harmful for your current condition. Invite your husband to jump right in so he could help your scrub the areas of your body that you may no longer reach due to the bulging tummy such as your lower legs and your back.

 

A massage could definitely be a big treat for the expecting mommy. With all the tensions and body aches, who would not want this kind of pampering? This does not mean you have to pay for an expensive service. Your partner can massage your legs as long as he does it softly enough to make your blood circulate. Common spots are the back, buttocks, hands, feet and legs. In case your partner does not have time for this, you may go to a professional therapist that does massaging services for pregnant women.

 

Recreate your most romantic date by reserving a dinner for two or go for a vacation. This would not only let you unwind and relax but would definitely make your husband feel that he is not left out as well. He was probably the one you ask to go out at the wee hours of the morning to buy you food you instantly crave, your driver for all those pregnancy check ups or simply the one running errands for you when you're too tired to get of the bed. This would also bring back the spark and more heat in your relationship. After all, you might not be doing this for a couple of months or years maybe.

 

Whenever a single woman feels depressed or when she broke up with her 23rd boyfriend goes to the salon to have manicure, pedicure or a haircut. After that, she's off to find another boy-next-door again. The same goes with a pregnant woman. It somehow makes her feel more clean and beautiful as if she's ready to take on anything. These treats are mental boosters. During pregnancy, the nails grows faster and stronger, a very good time to have that hands, feet and nail pampering.

 

Lastly, a retail therapy is the greatest pampering a pregnant woman can get. Buy the needs of you and your baby. Shop for your new clothes, nursing bras, and accessories. However, purchase only few maternity clothes. You won't be needing those type of dresses anyway after giving birth because you would probably try hard to get back into shape.
