How do I get pregnant?

Written by babymaking.co.uk

So, finally you want a baby.  And you came to conclude that it is not a walk in the park.  You search the net trying to get ideas on how to conceive, the dos and don'ts and everything that might help you to have the very much awaited addition to the family.  And you realized that there are so many advices and ideas to take: scientific and traditional beliefs.

And the question still remains: "How do I get pregnant?"

There are many issues that pertain on conceiving but of course everything boils down to having sex.  Making love is the start of all this activity.  It is advised that intercourse should be done when you are fertile.  You might find it difficult because having sex to make babies is surprisingly strenuous than the normal lovemaking you usually have.

There is a rumor about how the gender of a child can be influenced by position during sex.  Woman-on-top, for one is rumored to be not recommendable but there is no scientific basis that proves the theory.  The sperm moves fast that no gravity can prevent it from entering your fallopian tube.  Doctors advise that lying down for 15 to 20 minutes after intercourse can increase the chances of conceiving.

Age does matter.  Yes, it does.  It is no rumor that women above 35 years of age will find it difficult to conceive than younger women.  But it does not mean you can not conceive at that age.  Consult an infertility expert if you are not successful in few months of baby making attempt.

Masturbation of men does not decrease their sperm count.  Two days of ejaculation do not affect your husband's fertility although more than that can have certain effects.

Having wide hips and large breast means higher chance of having a baby.  It is not true.  Conceiving is not about body types because fertility matters the most.  Having a healthy body increases your fertility.  Vitamins and food supplements that are essential to conceiving can do a lot.  So instead of worrying over how small your hips are, go to your dietician for an advice on what type of foods are rich in folic acid and other vitamins needed for pregnancy.  Dieting is not bad also, as long as you are on the right track.  A balance diet that is rich in calcium, iron and folic acid coupled with not so heavy exercise will be good for your body.

Regular period does not mean baby making will be easier.  Even if you are having a regular period, you might have unseen problems such as blocked fallopian tubes or low progesterone that is important on making a baby.

Some women resort to yoga to increase their baby making chances.  Although no scientific studies were found, a stress-free body will promote increase in fertility.  Depression and stress can have bad effects on our hormone levels.

See? Getting pregnant, although it can be fun is not that easy.  It is strongly recommended that you consult your doctor so that he can guide you on what should be done during pre-conceptions.
